Hair transplant

Hair transplantation at the clinic uses the FUE (follicular unit extraction) technique: individual follicular units are harvested from the donor area at the back of the scalp — where hair is genetically resistant to shedding — and implanted one by one into thinning or bald areas. Because grafts are placed individually, the angle, direction and density of the new hairline are designed to match the way your hair naturally grows. The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic and takes several hours depending on the number of grafts; most patients return to light work within a few days. Transplanted hairs shed in the first weeks, then regrow permanently from around the third month, with the full result visible at 12 months. A detailed donor-area assessment at consultation determines how many grafts are achievable and what density is realistic.
