Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are injectable gels — most commonly based on hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the skin — used to restore lost volume, soften deep lines and refine facial contours such as the cheeks, lips, jawline and under-eye area. Treatment begins with a consultation in which facial anatomy, skin quality and your goals are assessed, so the product and placement are chosen for a balanced, natural result. The procedure itself typically takes 20–40 minutes, with numbing cream applied beforehand for comfort. Results are visible immediately and settle fully over one to two weeks. Depending on the product and the area treated, results generally last from 9 to 18 months, after which treatment can be repeated. Mild swelling or bruising at the injection points is common and usually resolves within a few days.
